Genealogy Tours of Scotland

Genealogy Tours of Scotland is aimed at researchers of all calibers who want to do on-site research in Scotland and who want to gain a better understanding of the Scottish Culture while enjoying the rich history of this magnificent country.

In addition to research, workshops will assist you to gain more confidence as you continue your research for your Scottish Ancestors.

There will be daily opportunities to discuss and share your research and your experience.
This will also help you to discover your "next steps" in your research. You will travel by private coach throughout your time in Scotland.
Your hotel is located in the Borders Region, just 35 minutes from Edinburgh.

Research will take place in the downtown core of Edinburgh at the new Scotland's People Research Centre at New Register House, located on the famed Princes Street, across from the Waverly Train Station, Princes Street Gardens and a short walk to the Royal Mile.
The Scottish Genealogy Society is located on the Royal Mile, just below Edinburgh Castle.
In Glasgow, we will be at the Mitchell Library.

The research part of the tour is Monday to Friday. The weekend is free for you to be able to schedule time on your own to travel to where your ancestors lived.
This additional travel is not included in the price of your Genealogy Research Tour.
If you choose to remain in the Edinburgh area, options for filling your time on the weekend will be offered (a day trip to Loch Lomond, St Andrews or the like.)
You will also enjoy The Scottish Experience Dinner & Show, and a full Scottish Banquet at a Scottish Castle in the countryside to the west of Edinburgh.
