Only One Week until the St Andrew's Charity Ball Practices begin!

This year, the Ball will be held on Saturday November 18th at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel Toronto. For those of you that have already purchased tickets, we look forward to welcoming you back to the Ball; for those that haven’t, what are you waiting for? Come celebrate and dance the night away while raising money to support Toronto charities.

Dance Practice Parties!
For all dancers there are practices at the Moss Park Armoury, 130 Queen St E, from 8-10 pm on Tuesday November 17th, Friday November 20th and Tuesday November 24th. There will also be a Saturday afternoon practice at the Armoury on November 21st from 2-4 pm.
Construction Alert: Roadwork is ongoing on Queen St, in front of the Armouries. As such there is no street parking on Queen. There is a large pay parking lot at Queen & Mutual St (one block west of Jarvis). Alternatively, there is some street parking on Shuter St, on the north side of the Armoury. Entry to the practice is through the south doors.

We are delighted to have our expert dance instructor, Ian Paterson, with us once again. There will also be free tastings of Glenfiddich whisky, Butler’s Bitter beer, and Innis and Gunn beer at the evening practices during intermission.
Caution: The floors have been recently resurfaced, so be sure and wear non-slip shoes.

For those of you who are too far away to attend the practices, you can retrieve a dance card, and watch the dances selected for this year’s Ball on YouTube using links provided on the Ball’s Ceilidh Dancing Cribs webpage.

You Give...You Get. Bring-a-friend challenge and other great prizes!
We are supporting the CP24/CHUM Christmas Wish again this year. In support of this great cause, please consider bringing an unwrapped toy or a donation cheque, payable to CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish, to any of the dance practices or to the charity Ball.

We are once again excited to offer a raffle for two return flights from Toronto to Edinburgh aboard Air Canada Rouge, plus tickets to the Scotch Whisky Experience in Edinburgh. Tickets are 5 for $20 - on sale at the evening practices and during the pre-dinner Reception at the Ball.

This year we have two great door prizes: The Royal York has kindly donated a certificate for a free night at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel, and Rent Frock Repeat has donated a gift certificate for a gown rental. And last, but not least, we will be presenting a bottle of fine malt whisky to the person who brings the most people to the Ball.
